Job Title: Senior Electrical Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Tozer Associates. As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting design and construction projects, performing electrical engineering analysis and design, and managing a team of Electrical Engineers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to successful project completion by providing technical services in accordance with project time and quality
  • Maintain, enhance and apply both design and technical knowledge ensuring production of high quality drawings
  • Electrical design of lighting, HV & LV supply and small power distribution, earthing and lightning protection, fire and voice alarm systems, telecommunication services, low current and extra low voltage services, automatic controls, BMS as well as other related electrical utility systems as assigned
  • Preparation of electrical design calculations, drawings, specifications, and tender documents
  • Liaise with clients, professional organisations, contractors, suppliers, sub contractors and other design
Requirements:
  • A BEng(Hons) Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
  • Experience of seeing conceptual designs through to completion and dealing directly with clients
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Ability to use own initiative and work proactively, sometimes working under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Excellent report writing skills, experience of making presentations and attending meetings with clients essential
