About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinical Anatomical Pathology Technician to join our team at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our mortuary services, you will play a crucial role in patient care and contribute to making a difference.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in adult post-mortem services (and paediatric depending on experience)
  • Receipt and release of deceased individuals
  • Preparation of cadavers for post-mortem examination
  • Assistance to pathologists during examinations
  • Collection of tissue and body fluid samples
  • Use of the Faxitron
  • Removal of pacemakers
Main Duties Overview

All duties are performed with due regard for the dignity of the deceased and in accordance with local standard operating procedures.

Requirements and Experience
  • RIPH Diploma in APT OR BSc in a biological or forensic science and RSPH Level 3 Diploma in Anatomical Pathology
Salary and Benefits Package

£35,224 - £45,839 per annum (dependent on experience)
