LSCP Strategic Safeguarding Coordinator Job Description

Pertemps Professional Recruitment is seeking an experienced Strategic Safeguarding Coordinator to join Lewisham's Safeguarding Children Partnership.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Jointly lead on the delivery of the operations of the Safeguarding Children Partnership, including managing the LSCP strategic business planning processes and ensuring the operation of the LSCP, the Executive Partnership, and sub/task groups.
  • Help ensure that the partnership maintains high service standards and development to promote good outcomes for safeguarding children.
  • Jointly develop and deliver the LSCP strategic priorities and lead partners to embed the new multi-agency practice standards outlined in Working Together 2023 and the DfE Pathfinder.
Requirements:
  • A relevant professional qualification and/or substantial experience in the delivery of multi-agency services strategy and policy formation.
  • Substantial management experience of social care services for children or similar in Social Services or Health.
  • Significant experience of policy and procedure drafting and implementation.
  • Knowledge and experience of evaluation, quality assurance, and auditing of organisations; and the approaches, processes, and practice.
  • Knowledge of complex case management in safeguarding children practice.
