Role Overview
Kent County Council is seeking a Senior Practitioner to join our Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children's Service. As a Senior Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in supporting newly arrived unaccompanied asylum-seeking children in Kent.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to newly arrived unaccompanied asylum-seeking children and support them on their journey in the UK
- Ensure the voice of the child is heard and their needs are met
- Manage a complex caseload and supervise social worker assistants
- Act as a duty senior to enhance management skills
- Develop skills in age assessments, working with children in care, and interagency working

- Competitive basic salary between £43,810 and £49,989

Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Enhanced Disclosure application to the Disclosure and Barring service
- Registration as a qualified Social Worker with Social Work England
