Job Description

This is a unique opportunity to lead a committed team to deliver high-quality, nurturing residential care for children. As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the residential service, ensuring high standards in line with core values and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Leadership & Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the residential service, ensuring high standards in line with core values and regulatory requirements.
  • Child-Centered Care: Foster a nurturing atmosphere where children feel secure and supported.
  • Team Development: Lead, train, and motivate a multidisciplinary team, supporting their growth and development.
  • Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure that all care practices meet SSSC standards and national child protection guidelines.
  • Risk & Care Planning: Oversee the development and implementation of individual care and risk assessment plans tailored to each child's needs.
Requirements
  • Essential: A qualification meeting SSSC standards for registered managers in residential childcare/the ability to achieve this.
  • SVQ in Leadership and Management for Care Services (LMCS) (Level 4) or an award in management that is certificated at, or above SCQF Level 8, or the ability to achieve either.
  • Experience: Proven experience in a senior role within residential childcare, working with children who have additional support needs/complex social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
  • Leadership: Strong background in managing and inspiring a team in a care setting.
  • Knowledge: Thorough understanding of child development, childcare legislation, and a commitment to promoting children's rights.
  • Driving License: Full, clean driving license.
