**About the Role:**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operational Lead to join our team in the ophthalmic theatre. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for overseeing scrub procedures, supporting the theatre team, and ensuring safe patient care.

The successful candidate will have a passion for high-quality patient safety and care, with considerable experience working within a scrub role ideally in ophthalmic settings. A degree-level education or equivalent level of experience is essential, as well as previous management or team leader experience.

As an Operational Lead, you will be a visible leader for the hospital team, clinical & administration, encouraging development and motivation within the team. You will also support the Hospital Manager in ensuring all equipment is fit for purpose and use, and provide advice when required on CQC readiness and improvement plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be a visible leader for the hospital team, clinical & administration, encouraging development and motivation within the team
  • Oversight and undertaking scrub procedures in ophthalmic cases, supporting the theatre team as a senior Theatre Lead and ensuring safe patient care
  • Support the Hospital Manager working with the Facilities & Estates team to ensure all equipment is fit for purpose and use
  • Adhere to good record keeping, drug administration in line with guidelines, ensuring you have an audit processes and action plans in place to monitor the effectiveness

Person Specification:

  • Registered practitioner with the NMC or HCPC
  • Considerable experience working within a scrub role ideally Ophthalmic
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent level of experience
  • Previous management or team leader experience

**Salary:** £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience
