Job Title: Apprentice Commissioning Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Apprentice Commissioning Engineer to join our team at ZipRecruiter. As an Apprentice Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for completing installation and project work on critical power equipment at customer sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out load bank testing, site surveys, inspections, fault finding, repairs, training, and testing of critical power equipment and electrical installations.
  • Supervise electrical installation teams and electrical installs (Site supervisor / AP / AE).
  • Complete installation, commissioning, SAT, FAT, and customer training of installations, control systems, and machinery.
  • Install and configure connectivity options via telemetry, BMS, and associated devices.
  • Liaise with various engineering departments.

Requirements:

  • Experience of electrical installation, fault diagnostics, and maintenance of generators, control systems, fuel tanks, and associated electrical/mechanical critical power equipment is advantageous.
  • Electrical engineering qualifications (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or similar, BS7671 18th Edition, Inspection and test, ECS gold card) would be beneficial.
  • Experience as an Installation Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Service Engineer, Generator Engineer, Field Service Engineer, or Service Supervisor within generators or control systems.
  • Hands-on electrical and/or mechanical engineering. Full product training provided.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Willingness to learn and progress with a reputable company.
  • Flexible for Overtime/part of the on-call rota.
