About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Estates Surveyor to join our team at Fife Council. As an Estates Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing a range of non-domestic property assets, driving forward capital projects that benefit our community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Development Projects: Spearhead the acquisition of land for new schools, road infrastructure, and other significant community projects.
  • Project Delivery: Coordinate all property-related aspects of development initiatives, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external design teams, consultants, and contractors to achieve project goals while maintaining sustainability objectives.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: Degree level or equivalent in a relevant construction or professional discipline (SCQF level 9). RICS membership or similar property-related qualification is required.
  • Experience: Strong background in managing development projects and navigating the complexities of property coordination. Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage budgets effectively.
  • Skills: In-depth understanding of property development, planning and construction legislation, and industry best practices. Excellent report writing and interpersonal skills.
