We are expanding our health economic modelling team at Health Economics and Outcomes Research LTD, seeking talented individuals to join us as a Health Economist. This role involves implementing economic models, conducting analyses, and preparing relevant dissemination materials independently while contributing to client proposals.

The position includes:

  1. Understanding the model development process, including designing and building health economic models (CEM, BIM, COM, DTM, early models)
  2. Reviewing, extracting, and analysing data for economic models (e.g. healthcare costs, quality-adjusted life-years, productivity losses)
  3. Developing high-quality economic models, technical reports, and user guides, with guidance as needed
  4. Demonstrating a proactive approach to solving client challenges and research questions while critically evaluating value propositions within the context of available evidence
  5. Implementing high-quality models in Excel and VBA or R based on agreed concepts or protocols
  6. Adapting global models for health economic analysis to inform local HTA dossier development
  7. Participating in research dissemination, including publications and presentations
  8. Collaborating with the HE team and other business units across HEOR, as well as clients and external collaborators
  9. Understanding project briefs, scopes, and budgets, identifying ambiguity or risks, and escalating as necessary
  10. Managing small projects, ensuring detailed knowledge of timelines and project plans
