The Role: Marketing Category Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Marketing Category Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the marketing supply base and driving cost savings and revenue growth across various categories.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement category management strategies for 'Above the Line' and 'Below the Line' advertising, including TV, Radio, Press, Out-of-Home (OOO), Social Media, Affiliates, Media Buying and Planning, Creative Agencies, and PPC.
  • Identify and prioritize sourcing and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) projects within the marketing category to be incorporated into the annual procurement plan.
  • Lead and implement all sourcing activities, including Request for Information (RFI), Request for Proposal (RFP), negotiation, auctions, and benchmarking.
  • Manage key supplier relationships, driving contract innovation, service improvements, and cost reductions.
  • Structure contracts in collaboration with SRMs, ensuring robust contracting processes involving legal teams from both William Hill and suppliers.
  • Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with stakeholders across business functions.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Proven experience in category management, preferably within the marketing or advertising industry.
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Deep understanding of procurement processes and best practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
