We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Chartwells - Schools. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will play a vital role in supporting the preparation of school meals and providing exceptional customer service to our students and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to a high standard, ensuring that all food is of excellent quality and presentation.
- Assist in the maintenance of a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Provide a friendly and welcoming service to our students and staff, responding to their needs and queries in a professional and courteous manner.
- Work effectively as part of a team, supporting colleagues and contributing to the smooth operation of the kitchen.
- Comply with all relevant policies and procedures, including those related to food handling, hygiene, and health and safety.
- Previous experience in a similar catering-related role, although not essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude, with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain a high level of productivity in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliability and punctuality, with a strong sense of responsibility and accountability.
