Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Ink Technician to join our team at The Pen Warehouse. As a Trainee Ink Technician, you will work under the supervision of an experienced Ink Technician, assisting in the preparation and management of ink supplies for our production processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ink Preparation & Matching
    • Assist the Ink Technician in preparing inks for printing jobs according to the Pantone Matching System (PMS), ensuring colour accuracy and consistency.
  • Daily Ink Reports
    • Assist in running daily reports to update the Ink Technician and production team on ink requirements for the next day, ensuring all materials are prepared in advance.
  • Quality Control
    • Help inspect returned inks for contamination or impurities and support the proper storage of acceptable inks.
    • Work closely with the Ink Technician to report any quality issues or concerns to management and the Quality Control (QC) team.
  • Stock Management
    • Assist in ordering inks, solvents, and other necessary supplies to maintain sufficient stock levels.
    • Refill solvent containers in designated areas as instructed by the Ink Technician.
  • Workstation Maintenance
    • Support the Ink Technician in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient mixing room.

Requirements

  • Assist in preparing inks for printing jobs according to the Pantone Matching System (PMS).
