Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in the smooth operation of our dispensary, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily operations, ensuring the dispensary is set up and running efficiently.
  • Dispense medications for in-patients and out-patients, double-checking accuracy with a keen eye for detail.
  • Provide patient counselling, guiding patients through their prescriptions and ensuring they leave feeling informed and reassured.
  • Maintain pharmacy stocks by ordering and requisitioning supplies from the Pharmacy Store as required.
  • Support and supervise trainee pharmacy technicians, trainee pharmacists, and other pharmacy staff to foster a skilled team.

Person Specification
  • BTEC or NVQ Level 3 in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
  • Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Accreditation in Checking of Dispensing (desirable).
