Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team at International Automotive Components as a Launch Manager. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract opportunity that requires a strong background in program management, leadership, and coordination.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure timely and cost-effective product launches.
  • Coordinate and manage all launch-related activities, including running changes and implementation of project management systems.
  • Develop and maintain effective timing and action plans to ensure launch readiness.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal departments and external customers to ensure successful program execution.
  • Interface with the commercial team to ensure alignment and coordination of launch activities.
  • Ensure Launch Readiness Reviews are completed and updated monthly, and identify and lead to resolution of key issues.
  • Coordinate Phase Reviews and ensure exit exceptions are documented and progress to completion is monitored.
  • Continuously update progress and incorporate contingency plans and risk mitigation strategies into master timelines.
  • Apply and execute function-related project milestones and timing plans.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering or business discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience in automotive manufacturing, preferably with a Tier 1 supplier.
  • Proven experience in managing multiple projects from development to launch.
  • Proven experience in managing cross-functional project teams in a matrix organization.
  • Evidence of achieving results through focused leadership and mentoring.
  • Evidence of effective budget management.
  • Excellent customer and supplier relationship management.
  • Working knowledge of costing and quoting processes.
  • Program management knowledge.
  • Knowledge of automotive development, drawings, production, and logistics.
  • Business, commercial, and financial understanding.
  • MS Project and MS Office skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a strong sense of urgency and ability to work under pressure.
  • Confident decision-making and proactive problem-solving skills, with a hands-on approach.
  • Strong leadership capabilities and proven management experience, with the ability to work as an individual or as part of a team.
