We are seeking a dedicated Building Safety Manager to ensure the safety and compliance of high-risk buildings in our housing stock. The successful candidate will adhere closely to the Building Safety Act, overseeing the day-to-day management of building safety risks, particularly fire and structural hazards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in safety, construction, or facilities management, with a deep understanding of fire safety, structural integrity, and compliance with the Building Safety Act. Relevant qualifications in health and safety, fire safety, or building management are essential, along with experience managing safety risks in residential or high-risk buildings.

The role involves liaising with residents, building owners, and regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance with legal safety obligations and managing any safety-related incidents or concerns that may arise. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to conduct thorough risk assessments, manage safety records, and respond effectively to safety concerns or incidents.

This is a full-time role, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Initially, you will be required to work from our offices in Clifton, but once established, there will be scope to adopt a hybrid working model with 3 days in the office and 2 at home. Occasional out-of-hours work may be required to attend customer consultation meetings.

Requirements:

  • Strong background in safety, construction, or facilities management
