Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our paediatric team at The Portland Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provides expert guidance and ongoing support to nursing teams involved in the care of infants, children and young people diagnosed with or undergoing investigations or treatment for birthmarks/skin conditions.
  • Leads and participates in coordinating all aspects of patient care, maintaining the best interest of the child and family at all times.
  • Advocates for every child and young person attending the hospital for investigations and/or procedures for dermatology treatment.
  • Develops and implements patient clinical pathways for all infants, children and young people attending the hospital for investigation and treatment of skin conditions.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Children's Nursing Qualification (RN Child or RSCN) with valid NMC registration.
  • Basic/Intermediate Paediatric Life Support certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
