About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Paediatric Nurse to join our team as an Expert Children's Healthcare Professional. As a key member of our Paediatric Neurorehabilitation and Complex Care Inpatient Ward, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting the smooth operation of the department.

You will be responsible for mentoring junior nurses, utilizing your in-depth clinical knowledge to guide and support them while leading the unit in the absence of the Sister/Charge nurse.

Key Responsibilities
  • NMC Child Registered Nurse (RN Child / RSCN) with immediate paediatric life support
  • Experience working within Paediatric Neurorehabilitation and complex care needs
  • Experience with tracheostomised patients is desirable.
  • Understanding of Safeguarding issues
  • Teaching and mentoring experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Excellent clinical governance and experience with audits
  • Experience of supervising and assessing students and shift leading is desirable
