Mechanical Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join our team in Maidstone on a 6 month temporary basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the effectiveness of vehicle and equipment operation, adhering to manufacturer's recommendations for repair and maintenance.
- Complete detailed documentation of repairs or work carried out, either electronically or in writing.
- Manage local stock levels to ensure smooth operation.
- Collaborate with the fleet and equipment service to meet departmental needs and objectives.
Requirements:
- Accredited IMI Master Technician or equivalent, with the ability to achieve and maintain that standard through formal assessment.
- IRTEC Certificate (where relevant).
- Experience or willingness to learn relevant servicing requirements for specialist vehicles.
- Level 4 in Diagnosis, testing, and repair of ICE/hybrid/electric vehicles and components or demonstrate capability to achieve and maintain that standard through formal assessment.
- Experience in working with complex, multi-demand fleet and technician environments.
- Ideal experience with Volvo, Scania, Mercedes, or Iveco.
Working Hours and Pay:
This role involves Monday to Friday work, with a 37 hour week. The pay rate is £18.15ph - £20.47ph depending on experience.
