About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Insurance Account Manager to join our team at Lockton Companies. As an Insurance Account Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our clients, ensuring the retention and development of their business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provision of day-to-day servicing of client insurance programs to support retention and development of the business.
  • Placement of insurances for clients in accordance with Lockton strategy.
  • Effective and timely management of all renewals to ensure completion by the due date.
  • Obtaining quotations for new and renewal business.
  • Preparation of market and client documentation.
  • Checking policy documentation for accuracy prior to issue to the client.
  • Providing policy documentation to clients in accordance with regulations and Lockton procedures.
  • Dealing effectively with client queries, including changes in cover and risk.
  • Prompt and accurate resolution of accounts queries.
  • Identifying risk exposures and advising on insurance and risk management solutions in consultation with the Account Executive/Partner.
  • Providing management information as required.
  • Managing and coordinating global insurance programs and liaising with our producer network worldwide, if applicable.
Requirements
  • Willingness and ability to continue developing knowledge through formal and informal learning, both internal and external to the company.
  • Knowledge of resources available within Lockton and how to source such services.
  • Understanding of relevant classes of business.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for business development.
  • Understanding of Lockton cash collection processes, including general insurance accounting and client invoicing.
  • Understanding of general legal principles of insurance.
  • Understanding of insurer rating methods for each class of insurance.
  • Understanding of risk management concepts and when these are useful to clients.
  • Understanding of insurer products and specialisms.
  • Ability to broker and service the insurance needs of clients.
  • Ability to prepare a broking presentation that accurately reflects the cover required and meets the clients' demands and needs.
  • Ability to prepare and interpret claims experiences and analysis, including claims triangulations and the impact of deductibles and cover variations.
  • Experience in marketing and servicing the insurance needs of clients.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with clients, insurers, and other associates.
  • Ability to manage time, prioritize, and ensure deadlines are met without compromising quality.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, including research and investigation.
  • Ability to build and maintain good business relationships with clients, insurers, and associates.
  • Demonstrating an understanding of when to proceed alone and when to involve the appropriate associates.
  • Effective delegation as appropriate.
  • Presentation skills in preparation and execution.
  • Professional and tactful negotiation and persuasion skills to achieve objectives.
  • Understanding of regulatory controls and procedures relating to commercial and retail customers, if applicable.
  • Understanding of and adherence to Lockton standards and procedures.
  • Knowledge of computer desktop software provided by Lockton.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook) or similar software applications.
