About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled individual to fill the position of Assistant General Manager at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW). This is a key role within the trust's management structure, requiring a high level of visibility and interaction with clinical teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the General Manager in managing teams to provide day-to-day services
  • Take on key project, performance, governance, business planning, strategic, and transformational responsibilities
  • Act as the key management link with clinical teams
Requirements
  • Significant operational service management experience
  • Experience of people management, financial management, and change management
  • Service Improvement experience, including the use of recognised techniques
  • Knowledge and understanding of healthcare relating to the area of responsibility
Desirable Qualifications and Skills
  • Previous NHS experience
  • Knowledge of service provision for the area of responsibility
  • Organisational and Development Leadership skills
  • Contract management skills
