About the Role
University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW) is seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management structure, you will play a crucial role in supporting the General Manager and leading teams to deliver high-quality services to patients, consultants, and clinical teams.
Main Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing teams, providing operational support, and contributing to key project, performance, governance, business planning, strategic, and transformational responsibilities. You will work closely with clinical and divisional teams, requiring excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to engage with consultants and senior staff, challenge practice, and make decisions.
Requirements
- Significant operational service management experience
- Experience of people management, financial management, and change management
- Service Improvement experience, including the use of recognised techniques
- Knowledge and understanding of healthcare relating to the area of responsibility
