About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Healthcare Specialist with expertise in phlebotomy to join our team at GP World Limited.

This locum contract requires an individual who is competent in phlebotomy and holds a certificate or competency sign-off.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Verify participant details prior to appointment commencement, ensuring accurate information for efficient service delivery.
  • Conduct height, weight, and waist measurements, take heart rate and blood pressure readings, and record the results on our system for comprehensive data collection.
  • Collect two blood samples, label, and store them correctly in fixed and mobile locations, adhering to strict protocols for sample integrity.
  • Maintain participant welfare throughout the appointment, escalating concerns as necessary, prioritizing patient care and satisfaction.
  • Offer guidance, advice, and signposting as required, leveraging expertise to support participants effectively.
  • Prepare sample boxes for collection by courier, ensuring timely transportation of critical samples.
  • Minimum of one year's active experience drawing blood, validated through competency checklist and references during recruitment process, demonstrating proficiency and reliability.

About the Service:

  • Serve 600,000 participants aged 18 and above, catering to diverse demographics within our target population.
  • Operate seven days a week, Monday to Sunday, linked to laboratory hours, offering maximum accessibility and flexibility.
  • Distributed across various regions in North East, North West, West & East Midlands, East, South East & South West England, comprising fixed locations and mobile sites, facilitating convenient access for participants.

Working Arrangements:

Shift pattern: Monday - Friday (0815 - 1645), Saturday (0845 - 1615), Sunday (1045 - 1605). Salary: £18 - £25 per hour. Location: Kettering.
