What We're Looking For

We are seeking a Senior Process Engineer with dynamic process simulation expertise to provide practical solutions to our clients' challenges, including decarbonizing oil and gas production. The ideal candidate will work on a variety of projects, applying their knowledge of compressor surge analysis, holistic simulation, control optimization and validation, process safety time analysis, liquid surge assessment, HIPPS response times, heat exchanger tube rupture, and other unique issues.

As a dynamic process simulation lead, you will work under the mentorship of our subject matter expert and lead several simulation projects. Your responsibilities will include supporting and guiding junior engineers, checking their results, and reporting to the client.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver work under the supervision of a lead engineer, as part of the dynamic process simulation team.
  • Ability to lead dynamic process simulation studies with no direct supervision, meeting agreed schedules and budgets.
  • Conduct a wide range of work, including compressor anti-surge control, process control systems, liquid surge, HIPPS response, and heat exchanger tube rupture using dynamic process simulation tools.
  • Present work to clients, virtually and face-to-face, through reports and presentations.
  • Prepare technical notes, reports, and client presentations.
  • Ensure high-quality deliverables, adhering to relevant codes and standards, and internal procedures.
  • Understand client requirements and contribute to winning bids for work.
  • Oversee junior engineers running process simulations, analyzing results, and preparing reports.
  • Supervise and develop junior engineers.
Your Knowledge & Experience

We are looking for an Engineering graduate with honors or equivalent in Chemical Engineering or a similar field. Chartered Engineer status with the Institution of Chemical Engineers or equivalent is required, or you must be close to attaining this chartership.

Experience with HYSYS Dynamics and/or Unisim Dynamics, PipeNet and/or Wanda, and similar liquid surge programs is essential. Proficiency in software coding, particularly VBA, is desirable. Strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a team player attitude are also required.

Relevant experience in the Oil and Gas Industry and/or Low Carbon Energy Transition projects is highly valued. A strong understanding of relevant industry codes and standards is also essential.
