Incident Response Specialist

As a key member of our security team, you will play a crucial role in protecting our business from cyber threats and maintaining the trust of our customers.
The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in threat detection and analysis, with a proven track record of identifying and mitigating security risks. You will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Your collaborative approach will enable you to build strong relationships with colleagues across multiple departments, driving cohesive and effective security strategies that align with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitor and analyse security events using SIEM and other security tools to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities
* Participate in security incident response activities, following established procedures for investigation and resolution
* Research and analyse security threats and vulnerabilities, staying up-to-date on the latest trends
* Collaborate with the security team to tune and optimise security tools and processes
* Document security incidents, investigations, and resolutions
* Support vulnerability management activities and access control best practices
Requirements:
* Minimum 1-2 years' experience in a Security Operations Centre (SOC) role
* Strong understanding of security concepts, frameworks, and methodologies
* Working knowledge of SIEM and other security tools e.g., endpoint detection and response, network traffic analysis
* Analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Salary and Benefits:
* Estimated salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, commensurate with experience
