Domestic Animal Care Specialist

We are currently seeking an Animal Care Assistant to join our dedicated team at the Dunbartonshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre. As an Animal Care Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for domestic animals.
Main Duties and Responsibilities- Assist with Animal Treatments: Support the care and treatment of animals, including administering medications and conducting health checks.
- Maintain Accurate Records: Update and maintain accurate animal records, following established protocols and guidelines.
- Provide Excellent Customer Service: Handle public inquiries, provide educational tours, and promote Scottish SPCA membership.
- Maintain Cleanliness and Hygiene: Ensure all animal accommodation and facilities meet strict cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Practical experience working with animals and the general public.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- A commitment to animal welfare and a resilient approach to the role.
- Ability to work well within a team and adapt to changing circumstances.
