Clinical Disability Evaluator

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Disability Evaluator to join our team at PFAS. As a key member of our staff, you will play a crucial role in assessing the cases of people applying for the Personal Independence Payment (PIP) benefit.
About the Role
This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity for a qualified healthcare professional to work autonomously and contribute to providing excellent care and services to our clients. You will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments and examinations via telephone, video call, or face-to-face to understand the challenges faced by claimants and determine how their disability/condition/illness impacts their functional ability in daily activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and examinations to evaluate the impact of disabilities on daily living activities
- Analyze information critically to create accurate and concise reports
- Provide positive experiences for claimants and colleagues, meeting quality and productivity targets
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a qualified healthcare professional
- An ability to demonstrate broad clinical knowledge
- Previous experience in using computer software including Microsoft Office
Essential Qualifications
Nurses: Qualified Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD only), Member of the Royal College of Nursing (RCN)
Physios/OTs: Qualified Chartered Physiotherapist or Qualified Occupational Therapist, Member of the UK Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC), Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP) or College of OT's (COT)
Paramedics: BSc or Qualified Paramedic, Member of the UK Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC)
