Job Title: Apprentice- General Engineering

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Engineering Manager to join our team at Bloor Homes - Design & Technical. As a key member of our Western Region team, you will be responsible for guiding our engineering team to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and conditions.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement engineering solutions to resolve complex issues.
  2. Collaborate with our Commercial Department to prepare and tender packages for engineering projects.
  3. Work with our Environmental and Geotechnical Consultants to provide solutions to foundation and contamination issues.
  4. Liaise with our Designers to develop housing layouts and provide advice on SUDs and value engineering.
  5. Develop and deliver road and sewer designs with the approving bodies to resolve engineering issues.
  6. Prepare and coordinate external levels drawings and private drainage drawings.
  7. Brief and manage the Foundation Design Consultant.
  8. Assemble and deliver the civil engineering package.
  9. Discharge engineering-related and building-related issues.
  10. Assist in the discharge of engineering-related planning conditions.
  11. Attend meetings as necessary to perform duties.
  12. Comply with and uphold company policies and procedures.
  13. Experience and knowledge of planning policy and procedures.
  14. Knowledge of urban design requirements for local councils, technical standards for highways and water authorities.
  15. Microsoft Office skillset.
  16. Design software experience (e.g., AutoCAD).
