Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant KS2 team at Supply Desk. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children's learning and development in a dynamic primary school environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Class Teacher: Assist in delivering high-quality education to KS2 students, ensuring a positive and engaging learning experience.
  • Individualized Support: Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who need additional help, adapting activities to meet their needs.
  • Classroom Preparation: Help prepare classroom materials and resources, maintaining a well-organized and effective learning environment.
  • Special Educational Needs: Support students with special educational needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum and participate fully in lessons.
  • Classroom Management: Assist with classroom management, maintaining a positive and respectful learning environment.
  • Supervision: Supervise students during break and lunchtimes as required, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Participation in School Events: Participate in school events, trips, and extra-curricular activities, promoting a sense of community and teamwork.
  • Progress Feedback: Provide feedback to teachers on students' progress and any concerns, supporting the development of effective learning strategies.
  • Administrative Tasks: Support with administrative tasks such as maintaining records and documentation, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
Qualification and Requirements:
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience working with children, preferably in a school setting, is essential for this role.
  • Passion for Education: A passion for education and supporting children's learning is crucial for success in this position.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for effective collaboration with teachers, students, and parents.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, supporting the school's mission and values.
