Job Summary:
Cinnamon Care is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to oversee the culinary operations of our luxurious residential and dementia care home, Merriman Grange. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a full kitchen team, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of high-end meals, using fresh ingredients and locally sourced products where possible.
- Manage a team of chefs and kitchen assistants, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
- Monitor supplier performance and negotiate prices to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Maintain a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen and food storage areas, adhering to relevant food hygiene regulations.
- Implement safe working procedures and practices, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety legislation.
- Assist the General Manager in resolving complaints concerning the catering service.
- Participate in events held in the home, liaising with the General Manager and Activities Coordinator to ensure nutrition and hydration needs are met.
Requirements:
- Level 3 in Catering or equivalent QCF qualification.
- Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.
- Team player, self-motivated, proactive, flexible, and adaptable.
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload, and work under pressure.
- Ability to communicate and manage interpersonal relationships, including influencing skills.
