Job Title: Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Pontefract, West Yorkshire

Salary: £90 - £95 per day

Contract Type: Full-time, term time only (Monday to Friday)

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to support the education and welfare of students with special educational needs in our vibrant primary school in Wakefield, Pontefract.

As an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students, teachers, and parents to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver small group tutoring or catch-up programs to support student progress.
  • Provide one-to-one support to SEN students, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to ensure active participation and progress of SEN students.
  • Undertake break time and lunchtime duties as directed, maintaining a safe and supportive environment.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, students, and parents/carers to ensure a cohesive and supportive team.
Requirements:
  • Minimum Level 2 Certificate in Early Years Education or Childcare (Level 3 preferred).
  • Previous experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting.
  • Basic first aid certification is advantageous.
