We are seeking an accomplished Consultant in Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) surgery to join our team at Head Medical in Hampshire, England.

The ideal candidate will be a skilled multi-discipline professional with expertise in all aspects of ENT surgery. As part of our dynamic team, you will participate in the outpatients prior to surgery, and in all aspects of the operative care of patients.

Your typical job plan will comprise of 40 hours scheduled clinical sessions/theatre lists/hours per week with flexible elements and 8 hours unscheduled activity. You will be required to perform ENT procedures on patients referred to the treatment centre, working in accordance with treatment centre protocols and working practices.

The post holder will spend the equivalent of at least three days in the operating theatre and two days a week in a combination of outpatient assessment; administrative, management, and clinical governance duties.

You will work closely with the Hospital Director of the Treatment Centre to agree the final allocation of patient contact time, including theatre and Pre-Admission/Follow up clinics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide expert clinical opinion on a range of problems within ENT surgery
  • Participate in outpatients prior to surgery and in all aspects of the operative care of patients
  • Work with the Hospital Director of the Treatment Centre to agree patient contact time
  • Perform ENT procedures on patients referred to the treatment centre

About the Hospital:

  • CQC rated good
  • A medium-sized hospital featuring three operating theatres, a day surgery theatre, and an endoscopy suite
  • Currently has 25 in-patient beds
  • Outpatients department sees patients from all specialties available within the hospital

To Apply:

  • Must have full and Specialist GMC Registration in relevant specialty
  • UK Experience as a Consultant
  • FRCS[ENT] or appropriate specialist qualification
  • Relevant CCT or equivalent
  • Past record of academic achievement
