Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Cygnet, a leading provider of mental health services. As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will have the opportunity to work with a complex client group in a community rehabilitation and residential setting.
About the Role
As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will be responsible for delivering an evidence-based SLT service to meet the needs of our clients. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to assess, advise, and intervene with the aim of promoting functional communication systems and optimal independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver an evidence-based SLT service to meet the needs of our clients
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to assess, advise, and intervene
- Develop and implement effective communication strategies to promote functional communication systems and optimal independence
- Train others and promote good practice in SLT
- Maintain a successful total communication environment
Requirements
- Experience in mental health and/or inpatient services
- Understanding of Positive Behaviour Support with an emphasis on person-centred approaches
- Strong team player with a focus on interdisciplinary working
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work flexibly whilst remaining calm under pressure
