Main DutiesAs a Speech and Language Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing, advising, and intervening to promote functional communication systems and optimal independence. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver an evidence-based SLT service, using your skills and knowledge to train others, promote good practice, and maintain a successful total communication environment.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for an emerging or established Speech and Language Therapist to provide SLT input in a service with a strong focus on inter-disciplinary working. You will have the opportunity to work with a complex client group, including individuals with mental health needs, autism, and learning disabilities.
Requirements- Experience in mental health and/or inpatient services
- Understanding of Positive Behaviour Support with an emphasis on person-centred approaches
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work flexibly whilst remaining calm under pressure
- Innovative, enthusiastic, motivated, and passionate with high regard for professional boundaries
- A fixed caseload that does not increase in size
- Full support from an onsite multidisciplinary team
- Excellent Clinical Supervision, CPD, and developmental opportunities for clinical and non-clinical duties
