Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Technical Assistant in the Public Rights of Way section. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of statutory services and helping to protect and improve the public rights of way network across Leeds.

The successful candidate will have excellent ICT skills and be able to work efficiently with databases and other technical systems. You will also possess strong communication skills, enabling you to effectively respond to enquiries and provide support to colleagues.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in public rights of way work and contribute to the development of our team. The postholder will be expected to process legal orders, manage financial undertakings, and conduct land registry searches and service checks. You will also have opportunities to visit public rights of way across Leeds to follow up enquiries and undertake path inspections and surveys.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process legal orders and fee-earning work, including land charge search responses
  • Support enforcement activity and respond to enquiries from the public
  • Manage financial undertakings and process invoices
  • Conduct land registry searches and service checks
  • Undertake path inspections and surveys, as required
