Job Title: Civil Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As a key member of our operational management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the management, maintenance, and recreational and commercial use of infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage operational staff, consultants, and contractors engaged in new projects or refurbishments.
  • Coordinate with user groups to facilitate events and collaborate with third parties and local stakeholders to develop the waterways for greater recreational use.
  • Join the Emergency Response Team and provide out-of-office services on a rotational basis, with supplemental pay.
Requirements:
  • Hold a Level 8 qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering (National Framework of Qualifications) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Have a current driving license and access to transport for travel throughout Ireland.
  • Be able to effectively supervise works spread over a wide area.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Have experience and ability in the use of IT-based engineering equipment/engineering design tools.
  • Understand issues involved in two jurisdictions (UK and Ireland).
