Civil Engineer Job Description

Black Fox Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team in Enniskillen, Co. Fermanagh. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for supporting the development, design, and construction of new and refurbishment projects related to the inland waterway system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct surveys, inspections, and evaluations of potential projects, followed by report writing and presentation.
  • Prepare feasibility studies, designs, drawings, tenders, and contract documents, ensuring compliance with environmental legislation and directives.
  • Supervise site works and contribute to the delivery of capital works and maintenance programs, ensuring projects are completed within budget and to quality standards.
  • Collaborate with environmental bodies to agree on environmental requirements and ensure health and safety considerations are integrated into project designs.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of organisational policies, strategies, and standards, and provide information for financial and progress reporting on projects under your control.
Requirements:
  • Strong background in civil engineering, with experience in project management and team leadership.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with engineering team members and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools, including CAD and project management systems.
