Job Purpose:
As an Assistant Store Manager, you'll play a key role in driving sales and market share growth by building strong relationships with customers and developing a high-performing sales team. You'll also be responsible for covering the Store Manager's duties in their absence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Store Manager in delivering a culture of engagement and implementing the national engagement plan.
- Assist in nurturing a high-performing sales team to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
- Own and manage store standards in line with the DDC Operational Excellence Guide.
- Collaborate with colleagues to own the P&L, focusing on delivering sales while optimizing margin, cost efficiency, and protecting against stock/cash losses.
- Cultivate and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Help review performance and monitor customer/store trends.
- Support improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in supervising a store and reviewing people/business performance.
- Understanding the importance of nurturing and inspiring colleagues.
- Comfortable using business systems.
- Commercially astute.
