About the Role:

Alexander Steele Recruitment is partnering with a leading bakery manufacturer to recruit a skilled Maintenance Engineer. The ideal candidate will have experience in the Food or FMCG industry and possess multi-skilled abilities with an electrical bias.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and scheduled maintenance of machinery and equipment to prevent unexpected breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system failures promptly to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
  • Equipment Installation: Assist with the installation, commissioning, and testing of new equipment and machinery, ensuring they meet operational standards.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and parts replacement, to track equipment performance and maintenance history.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving the efficiency and reliability of equipment, and implement modifications or upgrades where appropriate.
