Job Summary

The Healthcare Assistant/Care Worker will provide assistance and support to individuals with physical, mental, and emotional needs. The role involves helping clients achieve a higher level of independence, enhancing their quality of life, and ensuring their well-being through personal care, daily living assistance, and emotional support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support clients with mobility, including using wheelchairs, lifts, and other aids.
  • Help clients with feeding and ensuring they maintain a balanced diet.
  • Accompany clients to appointments, social activities, and community events.
  • Help clients manage their finances, including budgeting and paying bills.
Emotional and Social Support:
  • Support clients in developing social networks and participating in community life.
  • Listen to clients' concerns and provide emotional reassurance and support.
Healthcare Support:
  • Assist with physical therapy exercises as directed by healthcare professionals.
  • Observe and report any changes in clients' health or behaviour to the relevant healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and clients' progress.
Professional Development:
  • Participate in training and development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Stay updated on best practices and new developments in care and support.

This is a temp to perm opportunity, working 10 hour shifts at £50 per hour. Working hours may include nights, weekends, and holidays. A valid full UK driver's licence and access to own car are desirable. We offer flexible working options, discounted gym membership, and a day off on your birthday.
