About the Role:
As a Community Staff Nurse with Swindon Borough Council, you will play a vital role in empowering children, young people, and families to make healthy lifestyle choices. Working closely with the Named Health Visitor and Early Years Family Practitioners, you will provide Healthy Child Programme contacts and identify when extra support may be required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer Healthy Child Programme contacts and provide support or signposting as needed.
- Build effective working relationships with a wide range of people, including children, young people, and families.
- Contribute to delivering the Health Visiting service offer and support the team in achieving its goals.
- Engage proactively and creatively with children, young people, and families to promote healthy lifestyles.
- Evidence continuous professional development and have a desire to progress and learn.
About You:
- You will have excellent communication skills and be able to build effective working relationships with a wide range of people.
- You will be a qualified nurse with a current NMC registration and up-to-date revalidation.
- You will be able to travel throughout Swindon and have access to a car, as you will work in a variety of settings, including the family home.
- You will be fluent in the English language and able to communicate effectively with children, young people, and families.
