Job Title: Head of Academy Development

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled individual to join our team as Head of Academy Development. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development of our coaching staff and ensuring that our Academy coaching programme is of the highest standard.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of our coaching staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality coaching.
  • Develop and implement a coaching development programme that aligns with the Club's coaching philosophy and strategy.
  • Work closely with the Academy Manager and other stakeholders to ensure that the coaching programme is aligned with the Club's overall strategy.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the coaching programme and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure that all coaching staff have the necessary qualifications and certifications to deliver high-quality coaching.

Requirements:

  • UEFA A Licence (Level 4).
  • The FA Advanced Youth Award.
  • Extensive experience of coaching and/or coach development in an elite setting.
  • Member of the FA Licensed Coaches Club.
  • Valid FA Safeguarding Children Certificate.
  • Valid Emergency First Aid in Football (EFAIF) Certificate.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS check.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • UEFA Pro Licence.
  • MIDAS minibus driving license.
  • MSC Sport Coaching / Pedagogy.
  • The FA Developing the Developers.
  • The FA Licensed Tutor Status.

Working Hours:

This is a full-time role, and the successful candidate will be required to work a standard 37.5 hour week.

Location:

The role will be based at our Academy facilities in Luton.
