Night Shift Operations Supervisor Job Description

Pertemps is seeking a highly skilled Night Shift Operations Supervisor to join our team in Colnbrook. As a key member of our export department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our night shift logistics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reporting to the Export Manager, you will be responsible for handling AOG / Time sensitive shipments and export shipments via Air / Road via customer's requests.
  • You will be responsible for collation of Export documentation, including Hawbs / Mawbs / Customs formalities / post flight / security procedures / routing of shipments / airline liaison / transport request and reporting / Crosstrade movements.
  • You will ensure Export documentation is completed in accordance with customer's instructions and rated correctly as per Iata / Airlines regulations.
  • You will be responsible for Customs documentation, ensuring it is in accordance with supplier's instructions, including IPR / OPR / Export Licenses entries.
  • You will handle Pre-alerts / Post Flights and quotations.
Requirements and Key Competencies:
  • You will have some experience working on AOG's in an Export Department, in a Freight Forwarding Company.
  • You will have experience in Aerospace, shipping Aircraft Parts.
  • You must be able to work under pressure & tight deadlines.
  • You will be comfortable working on your own.
  • You will have Excellent Customer Service skills.
  • You will have Good time keeping / Attendance.
  • You will be Computer literate.
  • You will be willing to cover opposite shifts holidays from time to time.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • You will be educated to GCSE standard / A level Standard.
  • Multi- Lingual advantageous.
  • You will have a Good command of the English language.
  • You will have a Minimum Security Cargo Op (Trained).
  • Forklift License preferred (Trained).
Software Systems:
  • You will be proficient in Boxtop.
  • You will be familiar with e-Customs / CDS.
  • You will be skilled in Microsoft office.
