Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Child and Adolescent Consultant Psychiatrist to lead our CAMHS community mental health team at The Children's Centre, Worthing Hospital, West Sussex. The successful candidate will provide medical leadership for a highly specialist multi-disciplinary team, providing care in the community for children and young people with moderate to severe mental health problems and neurodevelopmental disorders.

About the Role: As a Child and Adolescent Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing medical leadership and developing the CAMHS service. You will work closely with a team of Clinical Psychologists, Community Nurses, a Systemic Therapist, Art Therapist, and a Psychotherapist to provide high-quality care to children and young people. The role also involves leading on the redesign and development of the service, with a focus on improving outcomes for patients.

What We Offer: We offer a competitive salary, a £25,000 Recruitment and Retention payment, and up to £8,000 relocation allowance. The role also attracts a £5,000 responsibility payment and a £5,000 Golden Hello Payment. In addition, you will have the opportunity to claim up to £8,000 in relocation expenses.

Key Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing medical leadership for the CAMHS community mental health team
  • Developing and implementing the CAMHS service
  • Working closely with a team of Clinical Psychologists, Community Nurses, a Systemic Therapist, Art Therapist, and a Psychotherapist to provide high-quality care to children and young people
  • Leading on the redesign and development of the service
  • Providing training and education to staff
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A medical degree and registration with the GMC
  • Experience of working in a CAMHS setting
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality patient care
