About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Midwife/Nurse to join our team in Shropshire.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to contribute to delivering high-quality, family-centered care and shaping our services to support women's choices in place of birth.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. To work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standards of care and safety for pregnant people, women, and families.
  2. To participate in comprehensive orientation and receive guidance from our practice education team to develop midwifery competencies.
  3. To benefit from a preceptorship programme and have designated Practice Education Facilitator support for Recruitment and Retention.
  4. To further develop skills through excellent midwifery training and support from our Multidisciplinary Training Faculty.
About Working with Us

As part of the Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust, you will be working in a modern and well-equipped facility, alongside a purpose-built Midwife-led unit at The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford.

The estimated salary for this role is around £32,000 - £43,041 per annum, depending on experience. We are currently transforming our services in line with Better Births and National maternity ambitions, with a newly formed dynamic senior leadership team in place who are embracing and supporting maternity transformation.
