Job Overview

Coventry City Council is seeking an experienced Advanced Social Worker to join our East or West area Help and Protection teams. As a key member of our team, you will oversee complex cases in children's services and provide coaching, mentoring, and support to Newly Qualified Social Workers (NQSWs) and experienced colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of the most complex cases in children's services
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and support to NQSWs and experienced social workers
Requirements
  • Recognised professional Social Work qualification (MA/BA/BSc in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work or CQSW)
  • Social Work England registration
  • Experience in working with children and families in a statutory social care setting
  • Demonstrable experience in decision making on case work from Children in Need to Permanency Planning, including Court Work
