About Us:
Gold Care Homes is a well-established national independent Care Homes group for the elderly. With a strong presence across the South of England, the group offers a range of services including residential, nursing, frail elderly and dementia care.

We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to lead our team in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • To provide expert advice on Health and Safety matters to all departments within the Company, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • To develop and implement Health and Safety policies and procedures, ensuring they are reviewed regularly to reflect changing legislation and business needs.
  • To monitor and review Health and Safety performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • To ensure all Managers and Departments understand and comply with relevant Health and Safety legislation, providing training and support as needed.
  • To conduct regular Health and Safety audits and inspections, ensuring the Company meets its Health and Safety management responsibilities.
  • To stay up-to-date with Health and Safety best practices and industry developments, providing recommendations for improvement.
  • To collaborate with Enforcement Authorities and respond to any Health and Safety-related issues.

Requirements:

  • NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Proven experience as a Health and Safety Manager in the care industry or a similar setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and industry best practices.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
