About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Safeguarding Officer to join our dedicated Student Services Team at the Fashion Retail Academy. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the safeguarding and wellbeing of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a designated safeguarding lead, providing front-line advice, guidance, and referral to other services within and beyond the Student Services Team.
  • Provide pastoral care, practical advice, and support to students, including responding to their needs and concerns.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to deliver an exceptional student support experience.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of safeguarding, wellbeing, and equality and diversity issues.
  • Provide guidance on learner needs and issues facing young people.
  • Utilize effective boundary management skills to ensure a safe and supportive environment for students.
Requirements
  • Safeguarding qualification or willingness to undertake this.
  • Comprehensive understanding of pastoral care issues and support measures.
  • Good organisational, planning, time management, and administrative skills.
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Flexible, resilient, and positive attitude.
