About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Safeguarding and Wellbeing Officer to join our dedicated Student Services Team at the Fashion Retail Academy.

The successful candidate will support, safeguard, enable, and champion the success of all students by providing front-line and responsive advice, guidance, and referral to other services within and beyond the Student Services Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a designated safeguarding lead and provide pastoral care to students
  • Provide practical advice and support to students, including those with social and emotional difficulties
  • Work collaboratively with the Student Services Team to deliver an exceptional student support experience
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with students, colleagues, and external partners
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of safeguarding and wellbeing policies and procedures

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a proven track record of operating in a similar role in a similar environment. You will have a Safeguarding qualification or be willing to undertake this.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in safeguarding and wellbeing
  • Strong understanding of pastoral care issues and support measures
  • Effective boundary management skills
  • Ability to communicate with confidence with a wide range of people
  • Good organisational, planning, time management, and administrative skills

Salary

From £26,000 to £29,000 per annum, subject to qualifications and experience.
