Job Title: Crank Grinder

We are seeking an experienced Crank Grinder to join our team at Wabtec Corporation in Barton Under Needwood. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and overhauling parts on existing trains.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate universal CNC grinding machines and manual machines to grind complex parts to tight tolerances.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and follow process layout and documentation procedures.
  • Work effectively in a lean environment and meet productivity targets.
Requirements:
  • Recognized engineering qualification.
  • Good understanding of mathematics and ability to apply it in a practical context.
  • Minimum 1-year experience in the rail or automotive industry.
  • Practical mechanical skills and ability to work independently.
