About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Crank Grinder Specialist to join our team in a manufacturing environment to maintain, repair, and overhaul parts on existing trains. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating universal CNC grinding machines as well as universal manual machines, grinding complex parts to tight tolerances using micrometers, and interpreting engineering drawings and following process layout and documentation procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate universal CNC grinding machines and universal manual machines to grind complex parts to tight tolerances.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and follow process layout and documentation procedures.
  • Work effectively in a lean environment.

Requirements

  • Recognized engineering qualification required.
  • Good understanding of mathematics.
  • Minimum 1-year experience in a relevant rail or automotive industry.
  • Be practical and mechanically oriented.
